Prentice, shown in the 1850 Shelby Co., AL, census as b. c. 1812, TN. In the 1880 census the 1833 William was shown as a Blacksmith living in Montevallo, Shelby Co., Alabama

    Birmingham News (AL) - Tuesday, January 27, 2004: DUBOIS, FANNIE MAYME PRENTICE

    DUBOIS, FANNIE MAYME PRENTICE, 96, [black] succumbed Monday, January 19, 2004, after a long illness at the Estes Nursing Facility, Northway in Birmingham, Alabama.

    Survivors include, son, Isaac L. Prentice (Margo), Fort Washington, Maryland, one grandson, Vincent I. Prentice (Tameiko), and three great-grandchildren, a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Poole Funeral Chapel directing.

    Visitation will be held at Poole Funeral Chapel, 1501 Seventh Avenue North, Birmingham, Alabama, on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 from 2 - 8 p.m. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at the Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church, 765 West Street, Montevallo, Alabama, 35115.

She m. Unknown. They had 1 or more children, including:

  1. Isaac L. Prentice, black. He m. Margo and in 2004 lived in Fort Washington, MD.
