1. Unknown Prentice was likely b. c. 1874-1879, either (1) in Sweden per the 1910 census record of his children, or (2) in Pennsylvania per the 1930 entry for his son, Frank. His daughter, Florence, in her 1920 entry says he was born in the United States and her mother in Sweden.

Frank apparently died between 1908 and 1910 because his wife is shown as a widow in the 1910 census after the birth of her son, Frank, b. c. Jan 1909. Neither he nor his wife appear in the 1900 census.

He m. Ester c. 1998-1901. She was b. c. 1879 in Sweden per the 1910 census in Bradford, McKean Co., PA. Her date of immigration to the United States is somewhat unclear because the date ink in the original census is unclear. It appears to be 1894. Neither she nor his husband appear in the 1900 census. Children per the 1910 census:

1. Florence Prentice, b. c. 1901, PA. 1910 at home in Bradford, McKean Co., PA. She m. Orlo Devere Briggs on 2 Mar 1926. He was b. 25 Jan 1898, in Cattaraugus Co., NY, and d. 10 Feb 1920, in Volusia Co., FL, at the age of 22, and was buried in Cattaraugus Co., NY. Son:
   1. Loren Briggs, b. 2 Mar 1926, in Corry, PA, and d. 26 Apr 1973, in Ischua, NY, at the age of 47. He m. Ann A. MacWilliams and had a son and daughter.
2. Gorgie Prentice, b. c. 1903, PA. 1910 at home in Bradford, McKean Co., PA.
3. Prill Prentice, b. c. 1906 4, PA. 1910 at home in Bradford, McKean Co., PA.

Frank A. Prentice, b. 18 Dec 1908, PA, and d. Jan 1964 at the age of 55. 1910 at home in Bradford, McKean Co., PA. 1932 in Adrian, MI.

He m. Clara c. 1920. She was b. 10 Oct 1908, LA, and d. 9 Feb 2005, in Hillsdale, MI at the age of 96 and was buried there. She was the dau. of Maynard and Margaret. Her obituary reads as follows:

Clara R. Prentice, 96, of Hillsdale died Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Hillsdale Community Health Center. She had worked for Reading Copper & Brass. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hillsdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1964, and two children, Diane and Larry. Surviving are three grandchildren, Christina, Angela Pelham and Jeffrey Prentice; one brother, Henry Scheikert; and two great- grandchildren.

Arrangements are by VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home, 40 S. Manning St., Hillsdale.

Children of Frank and Clara:

1. Diane Elizabeth Prentice, b. 4 Aug 1931, in Hillsdale, MI, and d. 21 Dec 1992, in Hillsdale Co. MI, at the age of 61, and was buried in Hillsdale, MI
2. Larry F. Prentice, b. 3 Nov 1932, Hillsdale, MI, and d. 14 May 2003, Hillsdale, and bur. there, age 70.
