WILLIAM PRENTISS JR. William Prentiss, Jr., 93, of Las Vegas, passed away April 9, 2010. He was a retired carpenter and served in the U.S. Army. Interment will be at noon Monday, April 19, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Boulder City.

Richard Felton Prentiss, 58, died Monday in Orange County, Calif. He was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Fordyce, Ark. A heavy-equipment operator, he was a 33-year resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Nelson of Orange County; father, William Sr. of Las Vegas; brothers, William Jr., Johnny, Donald and Darrell, all of Las Vegas, and Michael of Seattle; and sisters, Sadie, Dorothy and Debra, all of Las Vegas, and Renay Prentiss-Jones of Maryland.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at American Burial & Cremation Services, where services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
