Nancy Fortner Prentiss, 87, of Lincoln, Neb. died Saturday, Nov, 21, 2009. Nancy was born March 1, 1922, in Sweetwater, Texas. She graduated from Newman High School and attended Fairmont Junior College in Washington D. C., Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas.
Family members include two daughters, Martha Prentiss of San Antonio and Gloria Prentiss of Dallas; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Kyle Prentiss of Omaha, Neb.; and three grandchildren, Rachel Prentiss and Eva Prentiss of Omaha, Neb. and Blake Dodd of Dallas.
Family will greet friends at the Turrentine Funeral Home, 201 West Maple Street, Whitewright, TX beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright.
