Prentice, Helen Beatrice, 90, passed away Saturday July 16, 2011. She worked in sale at Roses, Ben Snyders and the Dollar General Store. She was the past-president of the Senior Citizens Club at the Salvation Army.
She is survived by her children, James S. Prentice (Joan), Sue Coomer (Garrell), Mike Prentice (Jo), and John Timothy Prentice (Melanie); sisters, Betty Pilkington and Norma Staples; 10 grandchildren; and 15.7 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday at Ratterman's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the Craig Edward Prentice Scholarship Fund in care of St. Thomas High School, 4500 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77007.
