He m. Mildred Lampitelli who was b. 7 Nov 1912 New Hyde Park, NY, and d 14 Feb 2015. NY. Her obituary reads as follows:

PRENTISS, Mildred, (nee) Lampitelli of Medford, formerly of New Hyde Park. Age 102. November 7, 1912 February 14, 2015 In her sleep. Now with her beloved husband, Jerry, who died in 1967. Always cherished her two sons, Robert (Gail), and Gerald (Peggy). Grandmother of 6, Great,Grandmother of 7. Retired 1970, from Herricks School District. Laughter was her outstanding strength.

Visiting Tuesday 2,4 and 7,9 PM at the McManus,Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horseblock Road, Medford, NY. Religious Service Tuesday 8 PM. Funeral Wednesday 10 AM from the funeral home. Interment following at Holy Rood Cemetery.
