2. Edson Prentice was b. 13 Sep 1885 in Cameron, NY, as were his parents, and d. 8 Jan 1981 in CO per Ancestry.com . He appears in the 1930 census in Daly City, San Mateo Co., CA and in the 1940 census in San Francisco, San Francisco Co., CA, with his wife and family. He had an 8th grade education. He. d. in Santa Cruz, CA.
He m. Ethel (Minnie) Thomas who was b. c. 1892, WA, as were her parents. She d. in Santa Cruz, CA. sometime in the early 1960's.. Children per 1930 and 1940 census:

- (dau.) Prentice .
- (son) Prentice.
- Thelma M. Prentice, b. c. 1911, CA. 1940 at home. She m. Robert Bice Floyd on 31 Dec 1942 in King Co., WA.
- William Prentice, b. c. 1912, WA. 1930 at home. 1940 not home.
- John Prentice (Jack), b. c. 1918, Hawaii. 1940 not home. He was killed in WWII. His body was never recovered when the Japanese sunk the U.S.S. Houston March 1, 1942. There's a headstone at the military cemetary in Manila, PI. with his name on it.
- Benjamin Harry Prentice, b. 18 Apr 1920, Contra Costa Co., CA, and d. 9 Jul 1988, San Diego, CA. He served in the Navy beginning on 16 Jan 1937, and served in WW II and Korea. Bur. in Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery, Sec.P, Site C-105.
Curiously, Edson Prentice does not appear in the 1900, 1910 and 1920 census. Investigation is continuing.
