    Charles Arnold Prentice, Jr., was born the first child to Charles A. Sr., and Mildred Prentice in Superior, WV on April 25, 1950. He went on to glory on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Trinity West Hospital, Steubenville, OH.

    He graduated from Steubenville Big Red High School and attended Jefferson Technical College (now Eastern Gateway Community College). Soon after, he began working at Weirton/National Steel for more than 30 years until retirement. Lastly, he worked as a Bus Driver and Custodian for Steubenville City Schools. Charles was a member of Greater Zion Temple, but attended Tower of Power Church, when able, in his latter days. He enjoyed attending Big Red football games, fishing, golfing, music, cars and his family.

    Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Gilbert-Prentice, his parents, siblings, Steven R. Prentice, Howard G. Prentice, Jamie S. Bennett and Janice S. Cunningham.

    Charles leaves to cherish his memories a daughter; Stephanie Prentice, sons; Corey A. Hairston, Charles A. Prentice, III, Charles Maurice (Kutina) Prentice, Sr., Christopher J. Prentice, Curtis A. Prentice, Brian K. (Natera) Brown and Clark A. Day, grandchildren; Malcolm A. Hairston, Laila M. Hairston, Brandan M. Prentice, Isaiah M. Prentice, Kiaira M. Prentice, Mercedes B. Prentice, Charles M. Prentice, Jr., Christopher J. Prentice, Jr., Camryn J. Prentice, Cierra N. Brown, Mary J. Simon, Brylee K. West, Brendall K. Brown and a great-grandson; Trey D. Jeter, Jr., siblings; Linda K. Prentice, Dudley P. Prentice, Drema K. (Derrick, Sr.) Kaufman, Charlene E. Prentice, Stephanie G. (Kermit) Jeter, Dale L.     Visitation: Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Gregory and Martin Funeral Home, 411 N. 7th Street, Steubenville, Ohio. Funeral: Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11:00AM at Tower of Power Ministries, 1312 Maryland Ave., Steubenville, Ohio. Pastor Everette Mitchell will officiate. Burial to follow services at the Union Cemetery Association, 1720 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, Ohio.
