Wayne Allen Prentice, 42, of Concord, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. He was born in Franklin on Feb. 9, 1965, a son of William Prentice and the late Barbara (Keyser) Prentice.

Wayne spent most of his life in Franklin and attended schools there. He had been employed for several years with Taylor Home Improvements of Bristol until this year. He was most recently employed as a concrete laborer and with quality control at Phoenix Precast Products in Concord. Wayne enjoyed watching sports and was a Patriots fan.

Wayne was predeceased by his mother and his brother Ricky Prentice.

His family includes his daughter, Carissa J. Prentice of Merrimack; his son, Steven A. Prentice of Jacksonville, N.C.; a granddaughter, Anaya Mondesir of Merrimack; his father and stepmother, William and Debra (Sweeney) Prentice of Franklin; sisters Jesse Angus, Tammy Cline and Karry Prentice, all of Franklin; brothers Will Sweeney of Vermont, Shane Prentice and Billy Prentice of Franklin, and Ronnie Prentice of Tennessee; and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will not be held. Funeral services will be held privately. Burial will be held later in the spring in Franklin.
