2. John Prentice was b. c. 1899, OK. He appears in the 1920 census in Doyle, Caddo Co., OK, but was deceased by 1930 when his wife appears alone as a widow. Both of his parents are shown in the 1920 census as b. in WI. No children are shown in the 1920 census, but children do appear in the 1930 census.
He m. Orpha. She was b. c. 1899, OK. Her father was b. in TN and TX. She appears in the 1930 census as a widow in Ventura, Ventura Co., CA, as a widow in the home of her parents, Arlin/Arter L. Pettijohn (b. c. 1871, TN) and his wife, L/E Nola (b. c. 1872, MO, with her father b. in IN and mother in MO). Children per 1930 census:
- Winifred M. Prentice, b. c. 1922, OK. At home in Ventura, CA, in 1930 census.
- Eugene L. Prentice, b. c. 1924, AZ. At home in Ventura, CA, in 1930 census.
