He m. JoAnne M. was b. c. 1946. perhaps in, or near, Deposit, Delaware Co., NY, and d. 9 Mar 2007. Her obituary in the Democrat and Chronicle of 14 Mar 2007 reads as follows:

JoAnne M. Prentice, 61, formerly of Deposit, went home with the Lord early Friday morning, March 9, 2007.

She is survived by her three children, Marie Dixson and Penny Nabinger, Afton, N.Y., and a son, Alton Prentice, Tenn. She is also survived by two sisters, Beverly Book, Aberdeen, N.C., and Sandra Vinal, Castle Creek, N.Y.; two brothers, Douglas Stanton, Mt. Upton, N.Y., and David Stanton, Deposit; five granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Zacharias Funeral Home in Deposit on Saturday, March 17th, from 1-3 p.m. A funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Kathy Myrick officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
