Who are Ernest C. Prentice's Parents?

Ernest C. Prentice, (so named in the 1930 census), is called "Earl C. Prentice" in the 1940 census. Also, a wedding item of his son, Earl, says Earl's father is "Earl Prentice" of Moore St., presumably Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. No "Earl Prentice" appears in the 1930 census other than an unrelated Earl G. Prentice. For now we go with "Ernest C. Prentice."

Although b. 1894, Ernest does not appear in the 1900 or 1910 census. Neither does he appear in the SSDI.

Our Henry Prentice eBook shows an "Earl Allison Prentiss", b. 1 May 1894, Schuyler Co., NY, but the middle name does not match the middle "C" initial and surname spelling shown for the above "Earl C. Prentice."

Investigation as to the identity of the parents of Ernest C. Prentice continues.
