Since he gave one his sons the relatively unusual name of "Mack," Andrew, b. c. 1863, may be related to Mack C. Prentice, b. c. 1864 in TN, who appears in the 1910 Mitchell Co., TX census. Mack is the son of Daniel Wesley Prentice, a descendant of William Prentis of VA. However, since Andrew and Reby are shown as brothers, and since Reby was born c. 1855, Andrew and Reby cannot be sons of Daniel Wesley Prentice since the latter did not marry until 1862.

When was the father of Reby and Andrew born? Reby, the older brother, was born c. 1855, so their father was likely born before 1832, and perhaps as early as 1810.
