1. Thomas Prentice may be the Thomas Prentice, b. c. 1819, Dalserf, Lanarkshire who appears in the 1851 census in Hazelbank, Lesmahagow Civil Parish, and 1861 census in Lesmahagow, with his wife and family per Ancestry.com . They next appear in the 1881 Hazelbank, Lesmahagow census.
