Update of 10 Oct 2005: Christopher Prentice, #2 below, is not the son of a Zachariah Prentice. He is the son of Valentine-3 Prentice and Abigail Walker. While Christopher does have a son, John, b. 1754 in Litchfield, CT, we have not yet documented that John had a daughter, Olive Prentice.

We found the following information posted by Dianne O'Connell at Ancestry.com but have modified that posting in accordance with our Update, above:

1. Zachariah Prentice. No date or place of birth was given. He d. Nov 1800 at an unspecified location. The name of his wife is not yet known. He had 1 or more children:

1. (but not including) Christopher Prentice, b. 1726 and d. 14 Apr 1819. . . . . [2]

2. Christopher Prentice (son of Valentine Prentice and Abigail Walker), b. 1726, Woodbury, CT and d. 14 Apr 1819. He is #5 in our Valentine-3 eBook. He had 1 or more children, including:

1. John Prentice. . . . . . . [3]

3. John Prentice. He is #20 in our Valentine-3 eBook. He had 11 known children. Dianne O'Connell has suggested a 12th person, below, but that connection has not yet been documented:

4. (perhaps daughter) Olive Prentice, born at at an unknown date and place and d. in VA. She m. Joseph Poole. He was b. in Petersburg, VA. They had 1 or more children, including:

5. Sophronia Joserphine Poole, b. 27 Jul 1807 and d. 14 Jul 1867, Louisburg, NC. She m. Alan Wynne on 11 Sep 1825, son of Joshua Wynne and Charity Milner. He died c. 1845 at sea, in the Gulf of Mexico,from TX to NC. Children:

1. Adeline Wynne was born 2 APR 1827.
2. Joseph Potswell Wynne was born 4 JUL 1828. . . . . . . [6]

   1. Mary Catherine Wynne, b. 21 Jan 1881 and d. 11 Nov 1940, Metropolis, Massac Co., IL. She m. William David Harrington. He was b. 12 Feb 1878, Temple Hill, Pope Co., IL. Children:
      1. Dolores Blanche HARRINGTON b: 11 JUL 1916 in Beecher City,Effingham Co.,IL
