Update of 7 Sep 2005: Susanna Prentice is the apparent widow of Edward Prentice. See now our Fall 2005 article about Edward Prentice of Hornton, Oxford, England.
In reviewing the IGI and 1881 census, we found the following Prentices connected with the town of Ratley, Warwickshire, England:
1. Susannah Prentice, b. c. 1835, Deddington, Oxford, England. She appears in the 1881 census as an Agricultural Labourer living in the Ratley Grange, Ratley, Warwickshire. Living with her are her children:
- Rose Anna Prentice, b. c. 1868, Milton, Oxford.
- Richard Prentice, b. c. 1870, Heyford, Oxford.
- Susan E. Prentice, b. c. 1873, Hornton, Oxford.
- Ellen Mercy Prentice, b. c. 1875, Ratley, Warwick.
- Eliza Prentice, b. c. 1877, Ratley, Warwick.
- Arthur W. Prentice. b. c. 1880, Ratley,Warwick.
