Update of 11 Oct 2004: By email of 21 Sep 2004 and 11 Oct 2004, John Wayne Prentice advises that Matthew Prentice is the son of Ronald Lawerance Prentice (of Gore, OK) and Vi Connerly and is a descendant of Solomon Prentice of NY and OH who appears in our Winter 1999 issue.

The following information is based on the obituary of Landon Chad Prentice which appeared in the SUN ADVOCATE of 7 Jul 2004:

1. Matthew Prentice married Martee Nielson and live in Castle Dale, Emery Co., UT. Children:

  1. Landon Chad Prentice, b. 13 May 2004 in Price and d. 29 Jun 2004 in Castle Dale, Emery Co. UT. Funeral service was Monday, July 5, at Dessert Edge Christian Church in Huntington. Interment, Ferron City Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.
  2. Ashton Prentice of Castle Dale.
  3. Gretchen Prentice of Castle Dale

Grandparents mentioned in the obituary were:

  1. Bill and Viola Logan, American Fork;
  2. Colyn Merts, Ferron.
  3. Wade and Tracy Nielson, Lawrence
