1. Erin Prentice was b. c. 1827, Canada (per 1852 census) He appears as "Aaron Prentice" in the 1852 census in Vaughan Twp., York, Canada West (Ontario) as a Farmer, Methodist.
He later appears in the 1881 Vaughan, York West, Ontario, Canada census as a Primative Methodist Farmer of German origin with his wife and family.
He m. Margaret, b. c. 1827, Canada and called of Irish origin, and children:
- Mary Prentice, b. c. 1850, Ontario. At home in 1852.
- Sarah Prentice, b. c. 1848, Ontario. At home in 1852.
- Alexander Prentice, b. c. 1856, Ontario.
- Thomas Prentice, b. c. 1858, Ontario.
- Emma Prentice, b. c. 1864, Ontario.
- George Prentice, b. c. 1868, Ontario.
- John Prentice, b. c. 1870, Ontario.
- Maude Prentice, b. c. 1873, Ontario.
