1. Alonzo T. Prentiss was b. May 1819 in OH. He is probably the same person as the Alonzo T. Prentiss who enlisted 3 Sep 1861 as a Lieutenant 1st Class at the age of 42, Commission in Company I, 49th Infantry Regiment, OH. He resigned his commission on 10 March 1862. The Civil War Pension file shows an application for an invalid's pension on 16 Jul 1890.
Alonzo appears in the 1900 census in Brooklyn, Alameda Co., CA with his wife.
He m. Daphine. She was b. Aug 1840 in TN.
Alonzo T. Prentiss appears to be the same person as Alonzo T. Prentice of Liberty, OH in our Fall 2000 issue.
