1. Thomas Prentice was b. in Ireland c. 1831-2.

He m. Margaret who was b. c. 1830 in Ireland. We do not know if they married in Ireland, but they were both living in Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY by 1849 when their first known son, William, was born. 1860 census in Brooklytn. Thomas does not appear in the 1880 census. Children, per 1860 and 1870 census:

  1. William Prentice, b. c. 1849, NY. At home in 1860. He does not appear in the 1870 or 1880 census.
  2. John Prentice, b. c. 1851, NY. At home in 1860. He does not appear in the 1880 census.
  3. James T. Prentice, b. c. 1853, NY. At home in 1860 and 1880. Not ion 1900 census.
  4. Eliza Prentice, b. c. 1855, NY. At home in 1860. Not at home in 1880.

3. Charles Henry Prentice, b. Aug 1860, NY (per 1870 census). At home in 1880. He appears in the 1900 NY, Kings Co., NY census and 1910 Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY census with his wife and family. Not in 1920 census.

He m. Louisa (Roehling?), b. Sep 1860, NY, with her father b. in France and mother in Germany., and children:

  1. Louisa Prentice, b. Jun 1890, NY. At home in 1900 and 1910. She appears in the 1920 Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY, census as a widow with her daughter. Not in 1930 census.
    1. Mabel S. Hunt, b. c. 1915, NY. Not in 1930 census.

  2. Elizabeth M. Prentice, b. Sep 1895, NY. At home in 1900 and 1910.

Also living with Charles' family in 1900 was Albert Roehling, b. Dec 1862 and called a brother in law. He was living with Louisa's family in 1920 in Brooklyn and called an called an uncle to the 1890 Louisa.
