1. John Prentiss, b. Feb 1802 in Cazenovia, Madison Co., NY and d. 8 Feb 1875 in Castalia, Erie Co., OH., appears in the 1850 census in Pomfret,Chautauqua Co., NY. He appears in the 1860 Townsend, Sandusky Co., OH census with his wife, Emeline, b. c. 1815, OH and his children:
- John Prentiss, b. c. 1837, OH. Not in 1870 or 1880 census.
- Caroline Prentiss, b. c. 1840, OH.
- Susan Prentiss, b. c. 1844, OH. . . . . . . . . . [2]
2. Susan Prentiss, b. c. 1844, OH. She may be the Susan L. Prentiss mentioned in Cutler's "History of Kansas, 1883" who m. O. G. Cooper in Erie County, OH on 24 Dec 1861.
O. G. Cooper was born in Ohio, 25 Jan 1838. He enlisted in the United States Army, in Company N, Third Ohio Cavalry, and remained in service about two years, when he returned to Fremont, Ohio. He moved to Jewell County, Kan., August 28, 1881, and settled in Mankato, and engaged in the real estate and short time loan business. Is a member of the Royal Arcanum. Children:
- Sallie E. Cooper, b. 3 Dec 1867.
