1. Frank Prentis was b. c. 1865, MI. He does not appear in the 1870, 1880 or 1900 census. At some date before 1906 he moved to WI where his daughter, Hazel, was born, and then, at an unknown date between 1906 and 1920 he moved to Tacoma, Pierce Co., WA where he appears in the 1920 census with his wife and daughter.
He m. Addie M., b. c. 1871 in PA. Daughter:
- Hazel E. Prentis, b. c. 1906, WI. At home in 1920 Tacoma, WA, census.
He is probably the same Frank Prentis who appears in the 1930 Tacoma,Pierce Co., WA census as b. c. 1862, MI, and with an apparent 2nd wife, Minnie P.,b. c. 1872, KS. Both of her parents were born in Germany. No children are shown.
The only clue we have so far at to the identity of Frank Prentis' parents is that the 1930 census lists his both his father and mother as born in Belgium. The IGI does not show any Prentice, Prentis or Prentiss in Belgium in an appropriate time frame.
