1. Unknown Prentice was probably b. c. 1840-45 in Canada and probably was deceased by 1880.

He m. Anna M., b. c. 1845 in Canada whose parents were both born in Ireland. Apparently after her husband died, Anna married E. William Oldfield, Laborer, because they appear in the 1880 census in Rochester, Monroe Co., NY with the following children:

  1. Mary Ann Prentice, b. c. 1859, Canada, Step Daughter.
  2. John A. Prentice, b. c. 1861, Canada, Step Son.
  3. Ellen P. Prentice, b. c. 1863, Canada, Step Daughter.
  4. William Prentice, b. c. Jan 1868, Canada, Step Son. . . . . . . [2]
  5. Josephine Prentice, b. Nov 1869, Canada, Step Daughter. Living with her brother, William in 1900 census.

2. William Prentice, b. Jan 1868, Canada (per 1900 census). He appears in the 1900 Rochester, Monroe Co., NY census with his wife.

He m. Sarah, b. Oct 1860, NY. No children are shown. Living with them was William's sister, Josephine, above.
